1

Your cycle

Set once. A 30- or 90-day cycle, the platforms you use and how often you would like to post. Everything here is a suggestion you can change.

Blog or website posts follow your posts-per-week number, like every other platform. Any date can be chosen.
2

Keywords and topics

Long-tail keywords come first and rotate, so you don't repeat yourself. Each shows the date it was last used.

➕ Import or add keywords (Semrush, Ahrefs, BuzzSumo, Google Search Console or your own list)
Semrush, Ahrefs and Google Search Console keyword exports; BuzzSumo content or question exports come in as topics.
Start a line with a stage and a colon to set it, e.g. "Decision: …".

3

Plan this session

Choose 1, 2 or 4 weeks. The planner suggests each post; change anything, add or remove posts, or make 3 pieces from one keyword.

🤖 Plan with AI: prompt → your AI → paste the plan back

The tool sets the dates and platforms; the AI chooses content type, stage, keyword, angle and titles. Copilot may cut very long prompts: Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini handle the full plan prompt.

Copy, Open in AI or Save adds a piece to your archive. Check every fact, price and claim before you publish; the prompts ask the AI to mark anything it can't verify as [check].

4

Your mix this cycle

Counts of what you have built, so no platform, content type or journey stage is overloaded or missed.

5

Archive

Every piece you build, newest first, with its destination platform. Mark it scheduled or published and add results.

The CSV uses the same 14 columns as the Content Booster Kit calendars, so it opens in Excel or Google Sheets. Your archive stays in this browser only.

What is a content calendar?

A content calendar is your plan for what to publish, where and when. Each entry has a date, a destination platform, a content type and a topic. Planned in batches, it turns "what should I post today?" into a ten-minute job and keeps your message consistent across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, your blog and your emails.

This planner adds what most templates leave out: long-tail keywords that rotate so you don’t repeat yourself, a mix across all five customer-journey stages, 50 content types with the right length for each platform, and a ready AI prompt for every piece.

How to plan a month of content in one session

  1. Set your cycle once: a start date, 30 or 90 days, your platforms and how often you would like to post on each.
  2. Load your keywords: from the Seed Keywords Planner and Content Idea Generator, a Semrush or Ahrefs export, or your own list. Long-tail keywords (three or more words) are suggested first.
  3. Suggest a session: 1, 2 or 4 weeks. Each post comes with a journey stage, keyword, angle, title, platform and content type, ordered by what engages best on that platform.
  4. Adjust anything: change a date, swap a platform or make three pieces from one keyword, each with its own title.
  5. Write with AI: copy each prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot, or copy the whole session as one prompt.
  6. Schedule and track: schedule the finished posts in Buffer, Hootsuite or the platforms’ own tools, then mark them published and add results in the archive.

Plan your blog posts

Set how many blog posts a week you want and the planner spreads them across your posting days. A blog post takes longer to write, check and publish than a social post, so each one offers promotion posts after it goes live. One article can feed a week of social content.

Frequently asked questions

What is a content calendar?

A content calendar is a plan of what you will publish, where and when: the date, the platform, the content type and the topic of each piece. It keeps you posting consistently and stops you repeating the same ideas.

How far ahead should I plan my content?

Most small businesses plan one to four weeks at a time inside a 30- or 90-day cycle. This planner suggests 1, 2 or 4 weeks per session, and you can come back each week to plan the next.

How often should I post on each platform?

There is no single rule. The planner starts with suggestions, such as three posts a week on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook and one or two blog posts a week, and you can change every number to suit your time and audience.

Can I schedule the posts automatically?

This tool plans and writes; it does not publish. Copy each finished post into a scheduling tool such as Buffer or Hootsuite, or the platforms’ own schedulers such as Meta Business Suite and LinkedIn, and record where it is scheduled in the archive.

Can I import keywords from Semrush, Ahrefs or BuzzSumo?

Yes. Upload a CSV export from Semrush, Ahrefs or Google Search Console and the keywords, volumes and difficulty are read automatically. BuzzSumo content and question exports come in as topics with a use-by date.

Is the Content Calendar Planner free, and where is my data stored?

Yes, it is free with no login. Your plan, keywords and archive stay in your own browser on this device and are never sent to us. Export the archive as text or CSV to keep a copy.
